Project Overview

This landfill gas-to-energy project uses the methane gas that is normally combusted by the landfill as an energy source. The project consisted of a power generation plant fueled by landfill gas. A gas blower system pulls a vacuum on the adjacent landfill piping system, removes excess moisture from incoming gas, and supplies the landfill gas to the power plant. The site was developed with four generator sets that are housed in a metal building that includes a control room with electrical panels, switchgear, gas quality monitoring, and other ancillary equipment.
