Grand Opening Of McAllister Equipment Corporation Scheduled For This Summer.

The William Charles Construction Group of companies, which includes Ragnar Benson, William Charles Construction and William Charles Electric, has completed construction of the 16,000 SF sales and maintenance facility for McAllister Equipment Corporation's Volvo Rents Center in Rockford, Illinois. This facility is located on two out lot parcels of William Charles' Harrison Park North subdivision, at Mulford and Harrison Avenues.

The new Volvo Rents Center will carry a comprehensive line of equipment for the construction, commercial and industrial markets, as well as an extensive line of Volvo compact excavators and wheel loaders and back-hoe and skid steer loaders. Volvo Rents has 79 equipment rental centers open in North America, 70 centers in Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Poland and Austria) and one in its international region (Mexico).

This design/build project will be the prototype for future Volvo Rents Centers. The facility includes an exterior equipment storage lot with display areas, a separate equipment wash bay building, three pull-through service bays, parts storage facility and mezzanine, customer sales with waiting areas and offices.

The owner's goals and objectives, even under difficult weather and site conditions, were continuously met throughout the project. The completion of this facility is yet another example of the successful collaboration of the William Charles Companies. The formal grand opening of this state-of-the-art facility will be within the next few weeks.
